Infinity #560 ABS family: 560.01 / 560.04Illustrated overview
A useful fit for

Home filter, press or maker-supported espresso preparations using a grounds bin and time-based amount control.

The main tradeoff

Silver finish is not the metal housing; timed stopping does not weigh grounds or prove automatic end-of-load detection.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can I use a short timer for both drip coffee and French press?

The exact #560.04 reference documents five-to-sixty-second grinding and the shared guide names filter and press brewing. Recheck the dose when changing the grind because the same seconds need not produce the same grams.

Is the stainless-finish 560 a metal-bodied Infinity?

No. Capresso identifies #560.04 as ABS with a stainless finish. The zinc-die-cast version is the separate #565.05 model.

Will loading one weighed batch make it automatically stop after the beans are gone?

The instructions support batch-only loading when changing coffee, but the documented stop remains the timer or your manual interruption. Empty-load auto-stop is not established.

The ABS Infinity for a timer-and-container routine

The original Capresso Infinity #560 branch gives a home coffee routine a conical-burr mechanism, a short running timer and a removable collection bin. This reference uses the maker's positively identified #560.04 stainless-finish configuration for current specifications. The maker also groups black #560.01 with it as an ABS finish variation; silver appearance should not be mistaken for the separate metal #565.05.

Its value as a match is practical: decide whether collecting coffee in a bin and repeating an approximate run time is how you want to prepare the next brew. If you need automatic weighing or a handle supported directly beneath the outlet, those are different requirements.

Know what is being repeated

The #560.04 product reference specifies a timer adjustable from five to sixty seconds. Running the same interval is convenient when the coffee and setting remain similar. It does not ensure the same ground mass after changing beans or moving from a coarse brew setting to a finer one.

Use a separate scale when following a weight-based recipe. You can then decide whether to change the time, the bean load or both. The appliance does not become grind-by-weight merely because the container is later put on a scale.

There is also a documented manual interruption: move the bean-container marker beyond the coarsest setting. The timer can keep moving even with the motor interrupted. If you return the marker to the active range before it finishes, grinding can resume.

Stepped adjustment across the maker's brewing range

The guide gives sixteen positions divided among four broad grind bands. It identifies espresso pump machines, filter preparations and French press. These are intended uses rather than a tested ranking of which method tastes best. In particular, this guide does not provide the specific nonpressurized-basket confirmation needed for that stricter comparison.

When returning to a different brew method, regard the previous number as a useful starting point. Check the actual preparation instead of making several changes at once and losing track of what helped. A simple dial can be sufficient when the adjustments it offers suit your recipe.

Choose how much coffee to leave in the hopper

The selected #560.04 reference gives an 8.8-ounce whole-bean store. The shared instructions also support loading only the amount intended when changing between coffees. That second approach can make a different bean easier to introduce without first emptying a larger supply.

Neither approach removes the need to watch the bin. The grounds must remain below its maximum mark, and the container must be fully inserted while grinding. The supported path ends in that bin; pouring the grounds into an espresso portafilter afterward is a transfer step, not direct holder support.

If you load only a measured batch, continue to manage the timer. No automatic end-of-beans program is established by that batch-loading instruction. The amount you put in and the rule that stops the motor are separate choices.

Light housing, accessible burrs, specific care

The maker identifies this configuration as ABS plastic with a stainless finish. That distinction helps avoid paying attention to the wrong housing description, but it is not an independent prediction of longevity or noise. This assessment does not substitute case material for measured performance.

The upper burr is removable for user care. Follow the marked hopper alignment and check that the collar is correctly seated afterward. The operating guide permits specified containers on the dishwasher's top rack while excluding the burr and collar; it also prohibits pouring liquid into the appliance.

Keep access to the hopper and bin in mind when choosing a counter position. A body fitting beneath a cabinet does not establish enough space to refill, remove the hopper or inspect the chamber. The maker's stated height is useful for initial planning, but the working clearances remain your responsibility to check against the actual setup.

Choose the #560 ABS configuration for documented time-based home grinding and easy-to-understand bin collection. The #565.05 changes the housing branch; Infinity Plus changes the model and selector specification. Check those model numbers before assuming an apparently newer or shinier listing delivers a different stopping workflow.
