Infinity Plus #570.01Illustrated overview
A useful fit for

Household espresso, filter and press routines using a grounds container and a manually checked coffee amount.

The main tradeoff

Cup numbers do not weigh the dose; no direct portafilter configuration or empty-load auto-stop is documented.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can this black Infinity Plus cover espresso, drip and French press at home?

Its exact shared guide names all three and distinguishes pressurized from nonpressurized espresso baskets. Those are maker use claims; you still dial in the grind for your coffee and recipe.

Can I grind directly into my espresso portafilter?

The documented configuration requires its grounds container in place. It does not establish a supported direct portafilter position, even though espresso is among the stated brewing uses.

Can I load only the beans for the next batch and remove the upper burr for cleaning?

Yes. The manual recommends batch-only loading when changing coffees and describes removable upper-burr care. You still control the cup selector; automatic empty-load stopping is not documented.

A household hopper grinder with a cup selector

The black Capresso Infinity Plus #570.01 suits someone who wants a simple countertop grinder feeding a removable grounds container. You choose grind size by turning the bean container and start a selected amount with the cup dial. Its documented appeal includes a removable upper burr, a range of stated brewing uses and a straightforward way to interrupt grinding.

This is the black ABS-housing Plus model. It is distinct from the metal #575 branch and the original #560/#565 Infinity. A familiar family name should not lead you to import a different model's timer, hopper or housing details.

Choose a brewing range before a dose label

The shared #570/#575 operating guide explicitly discusses espresso with both pressurized and nonpressurized baskets, filter brewing and French press. Those are manufacturer-supported uses, not a claim that the grinder has been independently compared for shot quality. Its sixteen positions still leave the user responsible for finding an appropriate setting for a particular coffee and recipe.

For someone using a basic espresso machine and a drip brewer, that stated range is more useful than guessing compatibility from the burr material. For someone wanting very small changes between espresso shots, consider whether the available stepped adjustment fits the way you like to dial in.

Record a useful setting for each method, then check the next batch when you change coffee. The same dial position need not produce the same brewing behavior with beans of a different roast or age.

The cup dial does not weigh your coffee

The maker labels the selector for one to twelve cups. Grinding ends when that selector returns to zero. The instructions also explain that coarser settings deliver more coffee over the same elapsed time than finer settings. A cup number is consequently not a universal gram amount across every grind setting and bean.

If you follow a recipe by weight, check the output with an external scale and adjust the selection accordingly. Changing from a coarse batch to a finer one can require another amount adjustment as well as a grind-size change. The grinder has no documented integrated target-weight stopping function.

The normal interruption method is also specific: rotate the bean container beyond the coarsest setting into its non-grinding area. Returning it to a grind setting can resume grinding while the selector is still moving. Make sure it has finished or been made safe before treating the operation as complete.

Load for a batch or keep a bean supply

The current #570.01 reference gives an eleven-ounce whole-bean capacity. When changing between coffees, the manual expressly recommends loading only the amount you intend to grind. That supports a measured-batch routine without pretending the machine senses the final bean and automatically ends the cycle.

The grounds container must be fully inserted before use. This is the documented destination for the coffee; the instructions do not establish a direct portafilter holder. If your preferred espresso routine starts with a handle under the outlet, compare a model designed to support that arrangement.

Good access does not make every part washable

The upper conical burr lifts out for care, and the instructions identify the collar and alignment marks used in reassembly. Empty the hopper and unplug before the cleaning sequence. Aligning the container correctly is important; forcing it into position can damage the locking rim.

The exact guide permits certain containers on the dishwasher's top rack, away from the heating element. It excludes the upper burr and its soft collar. Brush the burrs and food path, and never pour liquid into the grinder. Use the part-specific directions rather than treating “dishwasher safe” as a description of the whole appliance.

The manual's household-only scope also matters. Commercial-grade wording about burrs is not approval for continuous cafe operation. Keep the bin below its maximum fill line and follow the stated running limit; a full receiving container can back coffee up into the path.

Choose #570.01 for its documented home brewing range, batch-loading option, grounds container and accessible upper burr. Choose a different dose-control design if you want a saved number of seconds, an integrated target weight or automatic stopping after a single bean load has cleared.
