Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can I use timed espresso doses directly into a portafilter?
Yes. The original OD instructions describe a fork position and single/double grinding times that count down to zero.
Explore this need in the finder →Does its continuous mode stop simply when I release the key?
The read OD manual describes starting continuous/manual operation and pressing a key again to stop. Follow that edition rather than borrowing a hold-release rule from another grinder.
Explore this need in the finder →Can I require at least1200 g of verified US hopper capacity?
The selected US table prints1.2 lb, while another maker sheet says1.2 kg. That unit conflict is unresolved, so a strict numerical capacity requirement is not confirmed.
Explore this need in the finder →Enea On Demand is the Enea configuration for a professional espresso station that wants a newly ground portion delivered to the portafilter. It should be compared separately from Enea Automatico, which uses a mechanical ground-coffee doser. Both are real models, but they ask the operator to work differently.
What on demand changes
The original Casadio USA catalog identifies the on-demand model with 64 mm flat burrs, an adjustable fork and separately set single and double doses. The selected US reference is the model printed in the January2017 catalog, rather than a current offer inferred from a surviving file.
The original operating instructions place the portafilter at the fork and run the selected grinding time. Grounds travel down the chute while the time counts toward zero. That is the practical reason to choose OD over a chamber that already contains ground coffee.
Time and manual modes are separate
The dose-programming section explains changing the saved times. Establish the recipe with the actual coffee and check the dose after meaningful grind changes. A saved duration is not a live weighing target.
The manual also describes a continuous or manual mode. In the read edition, operation continues until the relevant key is pressed again; it is not simply a hold-and-release instruction. Use the exact interface procedure rather than borrowing a familiar control action from another on-demand grinder.
One specification conflict should stay visible
The selected US catalog prints the hopper figure as1.2 lb, whereas another manufacturer-authored EneaOD sheet lists1.2 kg. We do not silently choose the larger number or declare a printing error without a resolving source. Check the exact supplied reservoir if minimum bean capacity is a purchasing requirement.
The body in the US catalog is194 mm wide,368 mm deep and 510 mm high. Its depth differs from the Automatico doser version. Leave additional working access for filling, cleaning and the receiving handle; body size alone is not a complete station layout.
A specific US electrical reference
The selected product code is rated115–120 V/60 Hz in the original US catalog. That rating belongs to this identified branch. A later UK sheet's230 V/50 Hz specification is a different regional reference and should not replace it.
The original manual specifies professional use by trained staff. It is not a household recommendation merely because it fits a small counter. Installation, care and service need to follow the applicable instructions for the actual unit.
Choose EneaOD when direct portafilter grinding, calibrated time programs and a separate manual action match the station. If the requirement is automatic weighing or a purpose-made one-dose loading routine, require that mechanism explicitly rather than reading it into the on-demand name.
