Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can I fit the 280 g version in a space 430 mm high?
Its assembled diagram height is425 mm. That leaves very little additional room and does not establish enough clearance for lid access or hopper removal.

Mazzer says Mini is intended for hopper loading and points shoppers seeking a single-dose grinder to Philos. Do not treat physical one-portion operation as the recommended workflow.

The current maker reference combines an adjustable holder/activation button with single/double time programs and manual mode. Check the actual handle and accessories; no universal diameter range is established.
Explore this need in the finder →The redesigned Mini is a good fit when you want a hopper-fed portafilter routine with saved time doses in a relatively compact station. This review selects the 280 g hopper configuration. It is a different machine from the earlier Mini Electronic A and B, and the smaller hopper does not make it Mazzer's recommended single-dose grinder.
A useful redesign, with a clear configuration
The current US maker page describes an adjustable portafilter holder and activation button, timed single/double programs and manual grinding. The standard burr set is 233M, rather than a promise that any optional or aftermarket set will have the same application.
That combination makes sense if you keep a familiar coffee in the hopper, establish two useful time programs and move directly from grinding to preparing the basket. A manual mode gives you another way to control a dose when a saved duration does not suit the job. The interface does not establish a built-in grounds scale.
It is meant to work from a hopper
Mazzer's FAQ explicitly describes Mini as a hopper grinder and directs someone seeking a single-dose model to Philos. That is more useful than assuming that every small reservoir is designed to be emptied with one weighed portion at a time.
For a household repeating the same coffee, hopper loading can reduce daily measuring and filling steps. If you alternate beans for every drink, compare the whole loading and clearing routine with a documented single-dose design. A claim about low exchange after a steady operating state does not change which routine the maker recommends, and we do not publish an independent retention measurement.
The tray changes the real footprint
The 2025 brochure's dimension drawing resolves two easily confused depth figures. The main body is200 mm deep, while the full arrangement with the front tray extends to 320 mm. Use the complete footprint when deciding whether the grinder and your portafilter fit on the counter.
The selected 280 g configuration is160 mm wide and 425 mm high. The brochure shows a different600 g configuration at 485 mm high. Do not combine the smaller assembled height with the larger hopper capacity, and leave additional room for opening the lid and removing parts for care.
Keep the standard and optional parts distinct
The maker describes an optional burr choice as well as the standard set. These are not interchangeable performance claims, and some references use differing optional codes. Identify the supplied part before choosing accessories or relying on a particular flavor description. The safest basis for this review is the named standard 233M configuration.
Likewise, a removable chute for cleaning does not prove that every internal maintenance operation is intended for the user. Follow the exact operating and care instructions for the supplied unit. Confirm its electrical label before installation; the sources used here establish the US model reference but do not provide a complete operating supply rating.
Choose this Mini when its small-hopper, timed portafilter arrangement is the routine you want. For a deliberately single-dose setup, automatic weighing or a different receiving vessel, require those functions explicitly. The attractive part of the redesign is a clear working sequence, provided you buy the right configuration and plan the full station around it.
