Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Does Zero Static mean the grinder weighs my coffee?
No. It refers to the ion-generator feature. The normal portion control is an electronic timer, not an integrated scale.

Solis gives guidance for all three, with timed grinding into the grounds container. That does not establish direct portafilter use or strict nonpressurized performance.

The selected Type 1662 handbook specifies220–240 V50–60 Hz, so it does not satisfy that requirement.
Explore this need in the finder →Scala Zero Static Type 1662 is a timed, grounds-container grinder for a household that values a straightforward transfer to the brewer. The ion generator is its named convenience feature. It does not change the more important operating question: do you want a timer and a bin, or a grinder that weighs coffee or delivers directly into a portafilter?
What Zero Static actually refers to
The current Solis reference describes a built-in ion generator intended to reduce static charge. That is a maker-described design feature, not our independent measurement of how much coffee will remain on every surface.
For someone who regularly pours grounds from a bin, reducing cling may be useful. Still, keep the lid and container arrangement in the intended position and follow the cleaning instructions. A feature name should not become a promise that the counter will never need wiping or that no grounds remain inside.
Twenty-four settings and a timed portion
Solis documents24 settings and gives brew guidance ranging from espresso to filter and French press. The Type 1662 handbook explains the side timer: a larger setting means a longer run, up to 60 seconds. After that duration, the motor stops.
Choose this control if you are happy to establish a repeat time and check the resulting dose when the coffee or grind changes. The grinder does not become grind-by-weight because a kitchen scale can sit beside it. If automatic weight stopping is essential, require that function explicitly.
A bin-based routine rather than a portafilter station
The removable grounds container receives the coffee and is then withdrawn for transfer. That is a natural fit for a filter brewer or press. For espresso, it adds a transfer step; the references used here do not establish a direct-portafilter cradle.
The maker's300 g bean reservoir supports leaving a familiar coffee ready for repeated portions. It does not establish a purpose-made one-dose loading maximum or an empty-load auto-stop program. Likewise, broad espresso guidance is not proof that every nonpressurized basket can be dialed in to the user's intended recipe.
Check Type 1662, supply and access
This review selects the 220–240 V/50–60 Hz operating edition. The global page does not establish an ordinary120 V US version, and a plug adapter does not supply the missing electrical compatibility. Check the actual model plate before installation.
Type 1662 is also distinct from the 22-setting Scala Plus Type 1661. A similar-looking body does not justify transferring its adjustment count, accessory details or maintenance assumptions. Keep the matching handbook with the grinder.
Cleaning is a normal part of ownership
The upper conical burr can be removed for brushing according to the handbook. Unplug first and follow the locating and locking sequence when reassembling. The burrs are not water-cleaning parts, and detachable plastic pieces have separate care directions.
The household-only scope and stated operating limits matter as much as the feature list. Choose this model for a regional household bin-and-timer routine, with the ion generator as a convenience. For a cafe, direct basket delivery or live weight stopping, select a documented configuration that addresses that different job.
